Body Line Dents

These are often thought of as un-repairable which is not the case! This sort of damage is absolutely repairable using paintless dent repair (PDR).

The process is relatively the same as taking out general smaller dents, but the technique and expertise required to take out a body line dent are much more advanced. Body lines/increase damage generally lock pressure in a set place, which has to be removed very methodically, using techniques that work above and below the surface of the metal at the same time! We use PDR blending hammers, plastic-tipped, leather-tipped, and wooden-tipped knockdowns to remove the crowns; while using plastic dollies from the back to help hold the body line dent in place.

Below the panel, we use both sharp and soft tips depending on what stage we are at in the repair process. Generally, this is step 3 in removing body line dents! Body line dents, if done incorrectly, are a very easy place to crack or damage the paint while performing PDR or attempting a repair. The best by far.Had two blokes come over in the past and they reckon its not possible, was a panel shop job.Thought I'd give this bloke ago and dead set he nailed it. It was an ugly crease in a prick of a spot, left rear pillar into the roof on my misses black Golf GTI.Gone, there is nothing there, not a blemish. I still walk past the car and look along the lines for something but its perfect.
